IMPERIAL POLITICS.

O’Brienites in tho House of Commons, believing Mr. Sampel’s amendments to Clause 15 destroyed the last vestige of national self-government for Ireland, resolved to abstain from discussing the financial clauses.
The firm with which Mr. Samuel, • Postmaster-General, is connected, bought some silver from the Indian Government, and the Committee is to be set up to consider whether this should lead to the resignation of Mr. Samuel. HOME RULE. (Received 11.5 a.m.) London, November 25. In the House of Commons on clause 15, dealing with the powers of taxation, the Rt. Hon'. Hayes Fisher (U.) moved to remove the power of the Irish Parliament to vary any Imperial tax. Mr John Redmond said lie considered the first financial scheme a good one. The new proposals deprived Ireland of certain powers, but, the Government had taken the wisest course, in _ which the Irish Party would acquiesce. WELSH DISESTABLISHMENT. Mr Lloyd-Georgo announced at tin committee stage on the Welsh Discs tablishment Bill that it would be taken on Friday evening.
