THE MAYOR’S MESSAGE
(Per Press Association.) Waihi, November 23
In reference to the reply of the Minister of Justice to tho request for an inquiry into the disturbances at Waihi, Mr J. Newth (Mayor of Waihi) has wired the Minister as follows; —“Congratulate you on your decision in reference to the Federationists’ request for an inquiry into Waihi affairs. I feel assured that such inquiry is unnecessary as the statements made in urging it were outrageous misrepresentations, and that the issues referred to will be settled in a Court of Justice. I feel convinced, that these views are endorsed by every impartial person in Waihi.” CONSTABLE WADE. Constable Wade is on the improve.
