FOUL P L AY OR SU ICIDE ?

His relatives have informed the police that Wpodenson is the name under which Samuel Keys, a labourer at Surrey Hills, visited New Zealand in order to receive £3OO bequeathed by Ids lather. Keys, brought the money in a bank draft from Dunedin. The police state that there is no reason to ■suspect, loul play, but the disappearance under the circumstances is mysterious. A cablegram from Sydney on November 13 says:—A steerage passenger who joined the Moeraki at Wellington is stated to have leapt overboard on Sunday. His name is believed to have been W. Wooden son. It is stated that a Greek passenger, not speaking English, excitedly drew a deck hand’s attention to something in the water astern, Ho was. thought to mean that some baggage was overboard ,lmt an hour later an interpreter discovered that the Greek declared that he had seen a passenger climb on co the rail and jump overboard.
