AucklandAll the Waihi men have been specially warned to keep aloof from these meetings, and a similar warning has been issued to Federation members » and ■sympathisers. A disgraceful scene caused ’ey the Federatiouists took place after Mr Massey's meeting. A crowd, apparently of Foderatiouists and strikers, being disappointed of being robbed af .the opportunity of giving a hostile reception to the Prime Minister, gave rent to their spleen -by a frenzied chorus of “boohing,” and for a while tilings looked decidedly' ugly. Commissioner Cullen, however, took in the situation at a .glance, and marshaling the police 100 strong succeeded in Hearing the streets in a comparatively short time.
