ALLEGED FORGERY.

REMAND GRANTED

A short sitting of the Stratford Court was held this morning, before Mr. A. W. Reid, J.P., a lien Percy W. C. Wilson was arraigned on a charge of forging and uttering a voucher, by altering the figures 15s to 15 guineas. Sergeant McNeely prosecuted, and Mr. R. Spence appeared for accuse:!. Sergeant McNeely said that the accused had only been arrested this morning, and as he was unable to get some of the witnesses to the Court on such short notice, he asked for a remand until Friday, 29th inst.

No objection was made, and hail was fixed in two sureties of £‘so each, and one in accused’s own recognisance for £IOO.
