Dr. Long, Anglican Bishop of Bathurst, delivered a lecture on the Balkans.' “Personally,” said his lordship, at the close of his remarks, “1 cannot help hoping that the other nations oi Europe will be good enough sports to stand outside and let them have it out”—a sentiment which was loudly applauded at the time, but for which, subsequently, the learned cleric was called to task in the press.
