(For Press Association.) Wanganui, November 14. There is fine weather for the People’s Day at the Agricultural Show, which is attended by a huge crowd. Horses.— liiere is keen competition for the thoroughbred championship, which was awarded" to George Chamberlain’s (Wanganui) Zimmerman, second place being filled by FI. E. Goods (Wanganui) Maniapoto. E. Short (Feikliiig) swept the board in draughts, in which section the results are as follows: Entire (four years and over), E. Short’s Royal Treasure 1, G. Chamberlain’s (Wanganui; General French 9
Entire (three years), E. Short’s Revalenta 1, Mrs J. 1). Ormond’s (Hawke’s Bay) ArduacraigN In the three utility draught classes E. Short also filled first places, second honours being divided between Rhodes Bros, and the Wanganui Borough Cuunrtl. E. Short also carried off the draught entire championship and reserve championship with Reva-lenta and Royal Treasure respectively. Mrs J. 3). Ormond’s Lady Glen won the championship for draught marcs, E. Short’s Lassie Logan winning the reserve championship in the same class.
