OBITUARY.
MRS. A. S. HOBBS, AETAT 73.
Mrs Hobbs, pnior, wife of Mr A. S. Hobbs, died rather suddenly last evening at about 4.30 o’clock, at the residence of her .sen, Mr Harry Hobbs, of Warwick Road. More than thirty years ago Mrs Hobbs came to this district, residing at Bawera with her husband. While in that district took a prominent part in church work and for years was organist in the Anglican Church there. By her gentle and lovable disposition she endeared herself to young and old, and made many very sincere friends. Latterly she has resided in Stratford. She is survived by her husband, and three sons, Messrs Harry, Johnj and George Hobbs (a fourth son, Mr Alfred Hobbs, died suddenly about, two months ago), and six daughters, Mrs W. Wilson, Mrs W. Oaverhill, Mrs Gilbert Wilson, Mrs Alfred Babbage, Mrs Allhusen, and Miss Hobbs. The funeral takes place at Hawera on Thursday 1 , and will have St.' Mary’s (Anglican) Church for the Hawera cemetery at 12.30 p.m.
