Ure especially for store, cows, and competition for good cattle m this class of stock is at present very kee n We quote prices as follows .—Stole cows, thill and aged, 30s to o2s ; cows, medium to good condition Cos to bos, forward and fat cows, 90s to IAL, hulls, 27s for small and thm, to 15os for large and good conditioned bulls, 3 year steers, 110 a; 3 year empty heifers, 87s for ordinary Shorthorn heifers; 107 s 6tl for a line of Jersey-Hoi-stein cross heifers; yearling to lo month steers, 57s 6d to 68s lor wellgrown lines of Shorthorn steers; mixed yearlings, low in condition, ems to 355; yearling to 15 month heifers, Shorthoim sorts, 60s to 67s 6d (Jersey and Holstein sorts, 63s to 90s. VVe also offered two small lines of ptu'obied 1 and 6 tooth Romney ewes, but these were passed in at 20s; ewe hoggets were sold at 16s. We also hold a dairy sale, when w;e disposed of about 30. springing heifers and 10 dairy cowo. Prices realised were ; Holstein heifers, in good condition, close to profit, and in profit, 140 s to 200 s; ordinary Shorthorn heifers, 95s to' 160 s; dairy cows, ordinary sorts, 105 s to 160 s.

Davidson, Limited, of London _ and Glasgow, under date September 26tli: The market for choicest quality has been firm, more.especially Irish creamery, which has advanced 3s to 4s during the week. Danish and Swedish ; Choicest qualities 131 s ta 1325, Siberian: Arrivals this week about 12,000 casks. For choicest goods there continues tc bo an active demand at prices ranging from'loßs, 110 s up to 112 s. Good to fine 98s, up to 104 s, inferior 90s to 965. French : Prices remain extra mild 118 s to 1225, Paris baskets 114 s to 1245, finest 14s to 116 s, good to fine 108 s to 112 s, inferior 96s to 104 s. Irish creamery: Prices show an advance of 3s to 4s per cwt. Strictly choicest salted may now be quoted 123 s to 1245, with choicest unsalted at 125s.Prices irregular, 106 s up to 114 s. Colonial Butters; Australian— Any strictly fancy salted on oner meets with good demand at 114 sto 116 s, with unsalted fetching 116 s, 118 s. up.to 120 s. Secondary goods m cold store are being pressed for sale at irregular prices—namely, 102 sup to 108 s, according) to quality. New Zealand: 'There is a small quantity being offered ex cold store at-122s to I^4s.
