A RUMOUR DENIED. (By Telegraph—Special to “Post.”) Wellington, November 5. Mr. J. B. Hine, Member for Stratford, has been informed by the Minister of Public Works that there Is no truth in the rumour that two hundred ami fifty men are to be dismissed from the ra’lway works, but that instructions have been issued to keep the monthly expenditure within the scope of the ninety thousand puonds appropriation.
