AN AUCKLAND FIRE.

(Per Press Association.) Auckland, November 4. A house at Belmont Terrace, Eemuera, owned by Mrs Mjliitcombe, and occupied by Mr W. iL Morgan, was destroyed by fire on Saturday night. A carpenter named Ross, who assisted in the attempt to extinguish the flames, was badly burned and was removed to the hospital. The heat was so intense that the firemen did their work wrapped up in wet blankets. The building was insured for £2OO in the South British, but the contents, valued at £2OO, are a total loss.
