OFFICERS ELECTED. (For Press Association.) Wellington, October 31. The results of the elections of the president and vice-president, and organiser, of the Federation of Labour, are furnished in the Maoriland Worker as follows :—President, Mr P. C. Webb, 4037; M. J. Savage, 115 S. Vice-presi-dent, Messrs W. E. Parry, 2236; J. Dowgray, 1215; M. Fagan, 1003; P. Richardson 67. Organiser, Mr R. Semple, 393 ! ; Mr F. H. Marshall, 1238.
Webb’s heaviest polling was in Christchurch and Lyttelton, West Coast Coalfields, Waihi, Waikato and ■Wellington, and Parry’s the same, with the exception of Canterbury. Semple’s polling was also widely distributed. The collections made for Waihi and Reefton workers to October 21 amount to ,£22,615. The Australian contributions total £1550. The biggest New Zealand contributions to date are: (Iranity Miners, £2205; State miners, Dunolly, £1901; Dcnniston
minors, £1810; Blackball miners, £1099; Waikato miners, £1108; and the Wellington waterside workers (100 members) £-108. The Blackball miners number but 250, but they have contributed nearly £I7OO.
