WEDDING BELLS.

O’CONNOR—NALLY. A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Catholic Church on Wednesday, the contracting parties being Mr Michael O’Connor, of Stratford, and Miss Delia Nally, the popular school teacher of Mangahau. The bride, who was giv-* on away by her father, looked charming in a dainty gown of ivory silk, and wore the usual wreath and veil and carried a lovely bouquet. Her sister attended as bridesmaid, while Mr Patrick O’Connor acted as besj; man. The Rev. Father Maples was the officiating clergyman. After the ceremony a reception Was held at the Foresters’ Hall, where about 100 guests sat down to a sumptuous breakfast. The Rev. Father Maples, in a neat speech, proposed the health of the happy couple, which was suitably responded to. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a handsome gold bangle, to the bridesmaid a dainty brooch. The bridegroom received a case of valuable poems from the bride. The happy couple left for their new home at Rkwhitiroa, carrying with them the good wishes of a very large circle of friends. The guests assembled in the hall in the evening, where dancing, singing 'and cards were indulged in, and a very pleasant gathering was brought to a close with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” at daybreak.
