Mr King, Secretary of the Post Of£co, continuing his evidence before the Marconi Committee, said the initial cost of wireless was lower than the cable, but he estimated the maintenance and wages higher. PATENT MEDICINES. In the libel action, Dr. Powell, tho King’s physician, said there was no proof that Stevens’ medicine was a curative. The alleged cures were due to natural forces in tlie patient. Leading specialists corroborated Powell’s evidence. WIN FOR THE SPRINGBOKS. (Received 1.45 p.m.) London, October 30.
