SUNDRY SPORTS.
SCULLING. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright., (United Press Association.) London, October 29. In presenting Barry with the Spirtsnian’s Cup, Lord Desborough paid a tribute to Barry for raising the English sculling from the abyss wherein it had been wallowing for many years. He mentibned the fact that many pursuing rowing and sculling in Australia had "told him, both at Stockholm and at Henley, prior to the world’s championship of 1912, that Arr.st was not only the best sculler of that time, but was capable of ranking with the chief scullers that Australasia or any other country had ever produced. More honour therefore \vas due to Barry for bringing the championship back to England. Barry, in reply, said that he hoped to hold the trophy for many years. The ‘Sportsman’ has provided another cup.
