POVERTY BAY RACES. (Por Press Assooiatiou.) Gisborne, October 25. The Poverty Bay Turf Club’s, meeting was concluded to-day in beautiful weather, though after yesterday’s heavy rain the going was still very heavy. There was a record attendance. The totalisator during the day dealt with £12,037, as compared with £9507 for the corresponding day last year, making a total this year of £22,588, compared with £18,098 for the corresponding meeting. The results were as follows:

Second Welter Handicap, of 80 sovs ; one mile.—s Earl Percy, 8.9, 1 j 4 Colleen Dim, 8.8, 2; 1 Sea Pink, 10.6, 3. 2 Inoy 10.13, and 3 Lahora 9.4, also started. Won by a couple of lengths, a nose between second and third horses. Time, Imin 55 2-ssec. Second Hurdle Handicap, of 80 sovs; one mile and a half.—l Game, 9.8, 1; 3 Reservoir, 10.0, 2; 2 Dogger Bank, 9.11, 3. The only starters. Won by half a dozen lengths, a dozen lengths between second and third. Time, 3min 10 2-ssec. Maiden Scurry Handicap, of 60 sovs; live 'furlongs.—2 My Lady, 8.10, 1; 4 Field Force, 8.6, 2; 6 Fagot, 8.6, 3. 1 Immensity 9.0, 5 Soultie 8.10, 10 Lord Pat 8.5, 11 Lumen 8.5, 3 Sir Daniel 8.5, 8 Lord Gazeley 8.5, 7 Ridsdalo 8.0, and 9 Oraatere 8.0, also started. Makaraka Handicap, of 120 sovs; one mile.—2 Birkline, 9.0, 1; 3 Plying Sonlt, 7.0, 2; 1 Loch Maben, 8.9, 3. 4 Multiply 7.9, and 5 Spate 6.7, also started. Won by two lengths, flail' a length between second and third. Time, Imin 50 2-ssec.
