The Stratford Horse Bazaar, conducted by Mr. Newton King, will be held on Saturday November 2nd. Entries are how being received. Mr. R. 1). Lowers, of the Economic, inserts something of interest to men and women on page 1 of this issue. The services at Wesley Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. A. Reader. Masters and Son claim to know their business, and where to buy, and in proof of their statement in their replace advertisement to-day are offering special lines at a very low figure, which must appeal to those who are anxious to reduce the cost of living. Mr. 13. Harknes has an advertisement on page 3 of this issue which should interest those in search of a first-class bicycle at a moderate price. Stratford Druids are elsewhere notified that they have only a day or two to prepare for the after-session meeting on Tuesday next. For the sake of convenience, instructions are being classified at the C.8.A., and members must deliver theirs at once. There will be U.’ P., and C. throughout. Messrs. Matthews, Bennett and Co. will sell 250 head mixed cattle at their Inglewood-yards on Wednesday. “Spring cleaning.” Nearly everyone is at it now. This annual overhaul in the home suggests curtain poles, new brooms and brushes, perhaps a touch of paint or varnish. For this trade the Taranaki Hardware Co. is thoroughly equipped. Divine worship will he conducted tomorrow morning ami evening in the Broadway Church by Mr. G. Collingwood, and the Rev. B. Metson. A warm welcome to all. . x Mr. Newton King advertises his annual pedigree Jersey sale, which takes place at Stratford on Wednesday, November 6th. At the Stratford sale yards on luesday, Mr. Newton King will sell 900 head of mixed cattle. Entries appear elsewhere. Tenders are invited for alterations to the Stratford Racing Club’s totalisator house.
