CANADA’S NAVAL DEFENCE

(Received 8.0 a.m.) Ottawa, October 18. Tho resignation of the Hon. F. D. Monk, Minister of Public Works, in consequence of the (Mr. Borden’s (Premier) naval pojjcy, is reported to be imminent. Mr Monk demands that the question of an emergency contribution to the Imperial Navy should be first submitted to a plebiscite.
