PEACE DUE TO DIPLOMACY. (Received 8.10 a.m.) Paris, October 17. The Liberte states that peace was largely due to Sir Edward Grey, who auvised Turkey to come to terms aeveral days ago. On Tuesday the Italian Ambassador informed Sir Ed-
ward Grey that unless Turkish procrastination ended, Italy would commence hostilities in the Aegean Sea, wHereupon Sir Edward Grey informed the Porte. The latter then acecp.d. (Received 18, 10.45 a.m.) Rome, October 17. The Sultan has issued a firman granting autonomy to the Arabs of Tripoli and Cyronaica.
