DAIRY PRODUCE MARKETS. Mr Newton King’s weekly butter and cheese report from .Messrs R. and W. Davidson, Ltd., of London and Glasgow, under date, August 29th, is as follows: There is no improvement to report in the tone of the market, which continues to be dull and depressed. Weather conditions arc very unseasonable, heavy rains having fallen all over the country; in the South of England especially these have been excessive, with the result that fields have been flooded, and losses estimated at a good few million pounds have been sustained by the, farmers. Our advices from Copenhagen show that the market there is also very dull, and actually about Is lower. Owing to disputes between the farmers and merchants on the committees no agreement had been arrived at up till time of printing. Danish and Swedish.—-The arrivals this week show an increase ol 1,159 casks. There was a quiet demand, and prices have been reduced Is to 2s per cwt. A fair quantity lias been left over unsold—choicest quality 127 s to 128 s. Siberian.—The arrivals this week are comparatively ' small, being about 15,000 casks. Strictly choicest quality meets with a fairly good demand ai 104 s, 106 s, up to 108 s. Secondary grades, however, are most difficult tr sell, although holders are prepared ti meet buyers’ ideas regarding price. Quotations for these range from 96; rip to 100 s. Our wires from Siberia show that the market there is practically unchanged, although firm. French.—Owing to the continuer dull market it has been found neccs sary to again reduce official prices, am to-morrow a reduction is announced o Od on rolls, and 4s on baskets. Price; are now—Extra mild Ills to 118 s Paris baskets 110 s to 120 s, finest 110 to 112 s, good to fine 104 s to 108 s, in ferior 96s to 102 s. Irish Creamery.—The arrivals con tinue to be fairly liberal, but, unlecf for strictly fancy quality, the domain is rather poor. We quote fancy salted 113 s to 114 s, exceptionally 115 s; un salted 115 s to 116 s, exceptionally 117 s Secondary goods remain very di/fienb of sale at prices ranging from 100 s tc 108 s. Colonial Butter.—Australian: The arrivals are practically nil. Then arc a few goods being offered ox. cole store, and for those 110 s to 112 s uj to Il ls can be made for choicest salt ed, with saltless, at 114 s to 116 s.
