BOWLING.

THE NEW ZEALAND ASSOCTA-

TION

(Per Press Association.)

Wellington, October 8

A meeting of the Council of the Northern 'Bowling Association was hold to-night. Amendments in tlie constitution of the Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association, as submitted by the New Zealand Bowling Association, were agreed to. The annual meeting of the Association was held subsequently. The Chairman, Mr J. S. Keith, said that now that the two Associations had been united the Dominion Association would comprise 159 clubs, with no fewer than 9000 members. This was a marvellous result when it was considered that bowling was a game into which the question of gate money never entered. The following officers were elected:—President, Mr Maurice Casey (Ponsonby), vice-pre-sident, Mr T. Bush. (Wellington), secretary and treasurer, Mr J. J. Huberts; executive, Colonel Collins and Messrs A. Vciteh, C. Bury, W. Brunskill and J. S. Keith.

The New Plymouth Club’s green will be open for play from to-morrow (Thursday) afternoon.
