In concluding , lie hoped that next year and for many years to come they would all he assembled here again to talk things over, and although it gave them great pleasure to entertain their guests, the Infantry, to-night, yet he hoped that next year, having proved themselves victorious, they would bo the honoured guests, and ;ho was certain that the Infantry would lie only too pleased to reciprocate what it had been their pleasure to do tonight.
Mr Bowler suitably responded to this toast, and said he was certain that the Infantry would for many years to come be the guests of the Mmmteds, and that the shield would bo covered with their victories.
