A RESOLUTION OF PROTEST

(Per Press .Association.) Timai'u, September 23. Throe to four hundred men attended an open-air meeting this afternoon, at which two waterside workers spoke on the aims of the Federation of Labour and the jiauses of the Waihi strike from the Federation viewpoint. A resolution of protest against the gaoling of the men and a demand for the release of the prisoners was put and carried, about a hundred voting for it, and very few against it. An amendment declining to express an opinion was not seconded.
