(Per Press Association.) Wellington, September 20. Tho Legislative Council met this afternoon. Ine Prisons Amendment Pill was passed, and the following Government Bills were received from the House and read a. second time. Ine Gold Duty Amendment, VVaiuou anti Rivers Improvement, Agricultural anti Pastoral Societies, and Hawke’s Bay Rivers Amendment .Bills, wore read for the third time.
