Messrs. Grant and Claridge, oi Wlianga Road, have soid their line of neirers to a buyer who is taking mem through to Ungarae. Mr. Rothery, the new proprietor of the Whanga Hotel, entered into possession on Monday last.
The new Post Office was opened for businoss last Saturday, with Mr. M. Free, of Now Plymouth, officsr in charge. The new office is well fitted up and very central, the premises include a residence for a married postmaster.
Dr. Paget, of Stratford, is paying his weekly visits still, and is getting the people's support and appreciation.
i Tho new furniture factory started last week under the pronrietorship of Mr. A. Hoarc, of Christchurch.
