A NAPIER PROTEST

(Per Press Association.) Napier, September 17

A largely attended meeting of the Post and Telegraph officers was held last night when it was unanimously resolved to strongly protest against amalgamation of the Post and Telegraph officers with the rest ol the Public Service, as proposed under the Public Service Bill. A resolution was also passed requesting the Minister in charge' of the Bill to allow representatives of officers from the different centres to give evidence before a select committee of the House before the third reading of the Bill was proceeded with.
