Vienna, September !). It 's semi-officially notified that, Herr Hollweg and M. Berchtold Have reached a perfect mutual understanding on all points. _ Constantinople, September 9. Seven battalions at Nizam and the auxiliary troops at Yenisheher mutinied, complaining that they had not been disbanded. They pillaged several villages. Troops have been sent to| quell the disturbance. . j Athens. September 9. A mass meeting of 30,000 protested against the anarchy and ill-treatment of Christians in Macedonia, and demanded individualisation and tlie nationalisation of Turkey, with effective international guarantees. THE PROSPECTS OF PEACE. Constantinople, September 9. The Porte is alarmed at the outlook in the Balkans. Advices from Sofia state that the Cabinet will not make war, unless it feels that peace is jeopardised. The Bulgaria and Servia Govern-; ments are striving to allay the agita-| tion. Meanwhile the fact' that the] Turkish authorities aie unable to men , tify the author of the Poshana on'rage! is not calculated to inspire confidence] in the official assurances that such in-! cidents are not likely to recur.
