The discovery of an 18-months old bov embedded in tar, on the roof, ol some model dwellings, after having been missing for two days, is rcpoitec! from Soutli London. The infant, the son of a. Mr. and Mrs. Evans, who live in one of the riverside streets at Southwark, was missed,one Saturday afternoon by his parents. He was found on Monday on the rooi of the model dwelling, which is used as a drying ground, lying on his side, and hold a prisoner owing to his froex, pinafore, and hair having become embedded in a coat of tar which had been softened by the heat of the sun. The child was discovered in this position .by a neighbour who went to the roof on Monday morning to hang out some clothes, f'lcsides being in a very exhausted state from want of food, the child was severely blistered through exposure to the tropical heat. For two nights and a day the police had made every effort to, find him, and had dragged the Thames in tho vicinity.
