As an outcome of the reeenl oinbroglio at the hospital and the consenuent resignation of the matron, Miss Griffiths, ii is understood thai a strong movement is afoot among sympathisers with Miss Griffiths to organise a public meeting in the Town Hall te pretest against the attitude of tin honorary medical staff to the matron. and inc : dentally to pass a resolution expressive of indignation at the actio'! of the board during the enquiry. Ii is stated that the stand taken by tho matron has met with a large share of public sympathy, and that < \yvy of fort is being made to have this opinion publicly voiced at an early date. The board'meets again next week to consider its decision in regard to the recent enquiry, and it is understood that the Towii Hall gathering will be held as soon afterwards as possible.
