THE TARANAKI SHOW.
SPLENDID ENTRIES. The Winter Show, to be held at New Plymouth on June the sth, 6th, 7th and Bth next, should attract the attention of both travellers and holi-day-makers alike, as the secretary, Mr Arthur Cliff, reports that entries for every class scheduled lias idled to overflow, and the committee of the Society was again called together to consider a further extension of the already tremendous building, this being the second addition within the last fortnight. Mr Coleman, the contractor, has promised to have the new annex, which will give a further 5000 feet of space, completed by next Saturday. Country and townsfolk should decide at once to make a holiday trip to Nc-w Plymouth, as this great exhibition will eclipse anything of the kind ever held in the Dominion. Besides the attractions at the Winter Slow, New Plymouth offers outsiders who have not previously visited that town, some of the finest scenery ever seen in the Dominion; then, again, visitors would have the opportunity of visiting Nov," Zealand's great oil fields, also a visit to the harbour works would be very attractive, as the harbour is almost ready to receive the large ocean liners that will soon be leaving New Plymouth direct for the Home Country via Sydney. His Excellency the Governor, Lord Islington will officially open the newly errectcd King George Coronation Agricultural and Show, on June the sth, at 12 noon. His Excellency will also be taken for a trip to the Mountain, and inspect the new hostelry that has just been completed on the slopes of Mount Egmont.
