Admiral Sir L. A. Beaumont has retired on the age limit. Vice-Ad-miral King Hall has been promoted to tne position of Admiral. The “Daily News” says that there is no risk in predicting that, the naval policy which Australia has chosen, and which Mr. Winston Churchill favours, will be ultimately adopted generally. If the Canadian Ministers are converted, the thing will be as'good as. settled..;

The “Express” states that Admiralty intends to meet the German programme by accelerating the current year’s battleship construction by at l .-ast half a year.
