A BIG BATCH OF CHINESE. (Per Prose Association.) Auckland, May 20. At the Police Court to-day, thirtyeight Chinese made an appearance as the result of the recent raid by the police. Ting King, charged with being the occupier of premises used as a common gaming house, was remanded on bail. Jim Wong and Ah Leo were also adjudged principals, inasmuch as they assisted in the management of the'premises. The latter, who is only a new arrival, was fined £2, whilst the charge against Jim Wong was reduced to one of being found in a common gaming house. He was lined £l.
