EXECUTIVE'S REPORT. The following report from the executive of the A. aiil i\ Association was considered at the meeting of the General Committee tins afternoon: — Your executive have to report thai the work of the Association generally is going on satisfactorily. The Show Grounds have been steadily improved, and practically the whole 38 acres are now in a high state of cultivation, only ere small piece of about four acres being at all rough, and it is proposed to deal wit]) this at an early date. S : nee the annual meeting held on the 9th February last, your executive have hold fourteen meetings, while the General Committee has been called together twice. Several attempts have been made to promote a conference of A. and P. Associations from Palmerston North to New Plymouth, to discuss local matters eonlined to that area, and also to consider any remits to be forwarded to the animal conference to be held later in Wellington. However, the Palmerston North Association did not favour the idea, and no definite reply was received, from the Wangamii Association, so, under the circumstances, it may be deemed advisable to confine the conference to the Associations in the Tarn miki tVstrict. Your executive have convened a meeting of delegates to be. appointed by bodies interested, to meet in Steal lord, on 25th May, to consider making representations to the Government for the' establishment of an experimental dairy farm, primarily for dairy cattle in Ta'vartaki.
