THE GERMAN INQUIRY. (Received 20, 9.25 a.m.) Berlin, May 19. The Kaiser's conference regarding the safety of passengers at sea. has reported, and the report includes a suggestion for an international arrangement for the exchange of information regarding ice. The Kaiser requested the committee to reconsider its decision that searchlights are useless as a precaution against ice.
