CLOTHES FOUND ON A BEACH

Auckland, May 20. A woman's tweed coat, underskirt, shoes and stockings', also a light cloth coat such as worn by a girl of eleven years, were found on the beach near 'Mangere. Tliero was Is 6d in silver in the woman's jacket and in the child's handkerchief sixpence, and a school medal in the smaller coat. The clothing was quite dry. rt is stated that thev must have been left on the beach after the last tide receded. The affair is a complete mystery.
