AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE

There was a good and an appreciative audience at His Majesty's Theatre on Saturday night, when Thursday's change of pictures came to a close. The new Diesel engine erected by the Electrical Supply Company supplied a most excellent light, and all the pictures were seen to best ad-

vantage. The wftole programme was an excellent one, included in which was a film of the World's Greatest Engineering Keats, showing the bringwater from Catskill Mountains to supply the wants of New York city, clearly showing the magnitude of the undertaking.'' The remaining pictures on the programme also received well-merited appreciation' from the audience, especially the comic entitled "Tweedledum! and ' tiie Microbes." A reminder is given of the great benefit tendered by Madame Bernard to the local Convent which takes place on Wednesday next. A splendid lot of star and Irish films has been secured for the occasion, and a bumper house is anticipated. '6n Saturday next at 2.M0 the prize matinee will take place, and every child present will receive a prize. To-night's change of programme will consist of the following:—"The Teamster" (drama), "As in the Looking Class" (drama), "The Inner Mind" (drama), "Caught with the Goods" (comic), "Willie Wise and the Motor Boat" (comedy), "Why He Cave Up" (comedy), "The Living Peach" (comedy), "Australian Gazette, No. 71" (topical), "Who's Who in Doggy Land" (novelty), "Great Engineering Feats" (industry). The star drama for the evening, "As in the Looking Class" is taken from'George Lebrun's dramatisation of "Velvet and Rags" showing 'how a poor man will assist others before himself.
