A two-storey furniture factory belonging to the YVairarapa Farmers' Co-op. Association was gutted by fire this afternoon. The lire originated in a store room. Insurances wore as follows: £'soo on the stock, £2OO on the machinery, and £4OO on the building in the Phoenix office. Wellington, May 17.

L .Harvey, aged 21, belonging to Hawera, was killed at Akatarawa today as a. result of an accident while bushfelling.
