COURSING. (Per Press Association) Palmerston, May 15. The Palmerston North Coursing Association’s May meeting commenced to-day in fine weather. Hares were in .first-class order, and beat most of the dogs homo. Results:— Maiden Stakes. First Round— Queen of Belles beat Dawn. Full Sail beat Royal Flush. Ocean Queen heat; Lockwood. Happy Days beat Sailor Jack. Dean Swift boat Orakau. Queen of Song beat Counterfeit. Ashley Brook, a bye. Second Round— Full Sail beat Queen of Belles. Ocean Queen beat Happy Days. Ashley Brook heat Dean Swift. Queen of Song, a bye. Open Stakes. First Round— Victoria beat Day Star. Sir 31 into beat Lifeline. The finals will he coursed to-morrow, when a supplementary stake will be also hold.
