AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE

Monday’s change of programme was screened for the second time last night to a good house. The first three pictures billed on the programme were not shown, but were replaced by others of high standard. The drama entitled “Child Crusoes” was really a thrilling picture showing Jack, the newsboy, begging to be a sailor. Being refused, he buys supplies and •tows away, and on the fifth day his rations were reduced to crumbs, and ho knocked piteously at the wall of the hold in which ho was imprisoned. His knocks were heard by the man at the wheel, and the alarm given, and a search made which led to his discovery, exhausted and in a weak condition. He soon gets refreshed, and eventually he learns to be a Jackie, and gets busy at work. The boat springs a leak and begins to sink, and the boats and rafts are lowered and all hands man the boats. The raft in which the boy stowaway and a girl and the father are on, drifts on to at desert Island. A message is deposited in a bottle, and thrown to sea. This eventually gets picked up, and a rescue party is despatched. While climbing over the high ridges on the seashore, the father makes a false step and falls to the bottom, being killed instantly. Exciting incidents then happen. The little ones are pursued by blaclta, and after eluding many dangersyor several days, were at last rescued by the search party, the children at that time being in the hands of the blacks. The star picture “Saved by Wireless” was well received, as also werfe the remaining pictures included in the programme. Thursday will sec a complete change of pictures, among which are: “Hungry Hearts,” a great Vitigraph soe’ety drama; “Silas Manner” (drama), “The Tale of the Wilderness” (A.B. drama), “Edna’s Imprisonment” (drama), “Gratis” (comic), “Tweedledum and the Microbes” (comic), Bill’s Little Plan” (comic). “Story of the Mantis” (industrial Irrtory), “Bathe Gazette 151” (topical) and a beautiful scenic of “Scenes in Bonny Scotland”
