NEW DRESS GOODS.
COME AND' SEE THEM. Wo would like to/draw the attention of the thrifty wives and mothers to our advertisement on page 4 about dress goods, just to hand by s.s. Surrey, from Manchester. Of course, we know that words and figures in cold typo do not count for much, no matter how they are set out. Tt is the practical demonstration and comparison that counts and convicts. _ We are anxious to press this conviction on tho minds of our readers, that these goods are all that wo would represent them to he—tho best, the most serviceable, and the cheapest goods of their kind to be found in the district. We ourselves are more than pleased with their value, and feel sure that for winter wear both for mother and children—boys, as well as girls—thev Will give the utmost satisfaction. Talk is cheap but seeing is belioveing. We cordially invite our readers to come and see" for themselves; but if you cannot get away, drop us a postcard, and we will send along a set of patterns.
