A general servant for housework is wanted. Mr. A. Walter, of Douglas, announces that he has deckled to sell or lease the hotel at Douglas, which he at present occupies. Messrs. E. Dixon and 00., notify that they have no authorised person to tune'pianos, and also that tneir expert is to arrive from London tins month. Particulars of the N.Z. Borthwick and Sons will receive pigs at Midhirst to-morrow, Bth, and 15th Inst. Messrs. James and Gillman, of Hawera, draw attention in this issue to two valuable leasehold farms with purchasing clauses which they have to dispose of. The great relinquishing sale forced upon me has now been running for one month, resulting in the disposal of a large amount of goods, for which I have to thank my numerous patrons. The stock, however, is stilt very heavy, and, as all the new goods contracted for have not yet been delivered, my efforts to empty the shelves must bo intensified rather than relaxed.
