NOTES AND MEMORANDA.

Mr. A. Boyd publishes a notice to trespassers. On Monday the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., will hold their- cattle saio at Eltham. Mr. F. P. Cotkill, New Plymouth, publishes particulars of some handy properties at Ragliui for sale, in bis space elsewhere. Messrs. Bellringer 8r05.,; Ltd., Broadway, have a large and varied line of wall papers now to hand. You arc cordially invited to inspect. On Thursday night, May 9th, a great skating carnival will fie bold in the Town Hall, when a good evening’s enjoyment is anticipated. Announcement is made that the Stanley Private, Hotel is probably the best private hotel in Stratford.

Messrs. Matthews and Bennett’s next Inglewood stock sale takes place on Wednesday, May Bth. Entries appear in another column. Mr. Newton King’s stock sales for May and June appear in this issue. A domesticated elderly woman is wanted for an easy country place. Mr. Newton Xing publishes prices of a number. of dairy herds for private sale, and invites enquiries. To-morrow evening at Wesley Church, the Rev. A. Reader will deliver a special address to young men. The subject will be “Contrary Winds,” and young men are specially invited to be present. x Divine worship will be conducted tomorrow morning and evening at the Primitive Methodist Church, Broadway. At the former service a communion address will be given. All welcome to both services. _ x A red and white cow has been impounded in the Stratford Pound.
