AVONDALK JOCKEY CLUB. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, April 23. The Avondale Jockey Club's outmn meeting was concluded yesterday in showery weather. There was a large at tendance. The going was fairly heavy .A sum of £17,482 was invested, compared with £9674 last year, making £23,494 for the meeting,, us against. £31,329 last year. Concluding results: — Autumn Handicap, of 150 sovs; one mile and a furlong. Sea Elf and Cloy J ; Royal Soult 8.6, 3. Sir Artega! 8.0, Tiresome 7.11, St. Amans 7.8, Admiral Soult 6.13, Kaween G. 13, Larina 6.12, and Sea Pink ■ 6.11 also started. A great race up the straight ended in a dead heat, Time lm.n 59 3-ssec. Dominion Handicap, of 100 sovs; five furlongs.—Red Lupin 8.8, 1 ; Bow Bells 7.5, 2; Cloudy Dawn 6.13, 3. Ma'rangai 7.8, Mauinga 7.5, Lady Dot 7.5, Arawa 7.2, Bogey 7.2, and Jena 7.1 also started. Won by five lengths, w.th a length between second and third. Time, lmin ssec. . , Steeplechase, of 100 sovs; three miles.—Pleiades 11.2, 1; Taiaha 9.10, 2; Kautere 9.10, 3. Ben Johnson 10.6, First Barrel 10.1, Hunakaha 9.13, Tui Cakobau 9.9, Commander 9.8, Mildura 9.7, and Rebel 9.7 also started. The, only horses to take part in the race after the first- hurdle were Pleiades Taiaha, Hautere, and First Barrel. Won by two lengths. Time, 6min 31 sec.

Manurea 7.11, Clare 7.9, Nimrod 7.8, Winhaston 7.5, Tohara 7.4, Whakarewa 7.2, Lord Dela»val 7.2, Vailon 7.2, Holdfast 7.2, Flip Flap 7.2„ Bonney 7.2, Rukuhia 7.2, and Cuckoo 7.2, also started. Won by half a.length. Time, Imin 19sec. Waitakerei Handicap, of 100 sovs; six furlongs.—Salute 9.3, 1 ; Cloudy Dawn 6.10, 2; Admiral Soult 7.1, 3. Royal Soult 8.10, Kohinoor. 7.9, Captain Soult 7.8, Larina 7.6, Impulsive 7.5, Blue Garment 7.0, Peggy Pryde 6.12, Parawai 0.12, Grenadier 6.11, Hyperion 6.9, and Lady Betty 6.8, also started. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 18 4-ssec.
A Melbourne cablegram states that the Glen Huntley Cup on Saturday resulted: —Avenger 1, Gunboat 2. Swagger 3. Nine horses started, and the ex-New Zealandcr suffered defeat bv half a neck. Time, lmin 6sec.
