SEVERAL PEOPLE INJURED

(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) (Received 27, 12.60 p.m.) New York, April 26. A remarkable shipping disaster occurred at Seattle. The steamer Alameda ploughed through the Coleman Dock, the finest structure on the Pacific Coast, carrying off a hundred feet bodily across tho deck. The Alameda hit a small steamer lying on the other side of the wharf, sinking it instantaneously. The captain’s orders to the sngineroom Were misunderstood when the vessel was docking and the result was that the vessel went full steam ahead. Tho captain tied down tiro whistle and a crowd of people on the dock end ran for their lives, but several were injured. The crew of the small vessel were flung into the water but wore rescued.^
