Tito weather was showery for the second day of the Wellington Racing Club’s autumn meeting, but not wet enough to affect the attendance, which was very large. A feature of the day’s racing was the' success of first favourites. A sum of £22,336 was put through the tctalisator, compared with 216,886 on the corresponding day last year. Tire total for the meeting was 912 022, as against £29,930 at last year’s autumn meeting. Concluding results : Autumn HamPcap, of 400 sovs; ondt rile and three-quarters.-—Bronze, 9.0, 1 ; Fkingot, 6.7, 2; Merrivonia, 7.2, 3.
