WHEAT AND TALLOW. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantilt Agency 'Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date, 17th instant: — Wheat.—Sold an Australian cargo at 40s 1-id, c.i.f The market is quiet but steady, and crop reports are unfavourable. The outlook is uncertain for American market prospects. We quote per quarter c.i.f. New Zealand wheat, Long-berried, 38s 6d, Shortberried. 3Ss.i Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions:— Good mutton, 3os 3d per cwt.; good beef 33s 3d per cwt; mixed 32s per cwt. The market is firm. MATTHEWS AND BENTCUTS REPORT. Matthews and Bennett report that there was a fair yarding of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday.
