■The school will close for holidays tomorrow afternoon, resuming on April lath. Miss E. 11. Gunn, of Alexandra South, lias been appointed to the assistant toachership in the Secondary Department of the Stratford District High School, vice Miss Butler, resigned. Last week the Xgairo Co-operative Dairy Company made for the Palmerston Winter Show a half-ton cheese, in which was distributed coins to the value of £la. The use to which it will bo put is evident.
