RIFLE VERSUS GUN.
The interesting competition between the devotees of the gnn and the rifle will be concluded To-morrow afternoon. when the Gun Club will do their best to wipe off the lead of 194 points which has been established by the riflo men. The match will be a fourteen- ; bird one, and five points will be given for a break, off the first barrel, and four for a second barrel break. This will give a possible of seventy, tallying with the scoring on the rifle range. The Gun Club men will thus have to gain an average of something like 18 points per man, to win. This will take some doing, and the match cannot help but be a close and exciting one. After the competition, which will commence sharp at 1.30, the final for the Ballistite Cup will be got off. At the conclusion the sealed handicaps will he opened and the winner declared. j Afternoon tea will bo provided by 'the ladies. All friends of the club, and visitors, are cordially invited to attend at the Racecourse.
