CLOTHING CATCHES FIRE

Auckland, March 27,

Through his garments 'being ignited by a candle C. E. Leeds received injuries which resulted in liis death this morning. Deceased was taken ill in the night, and lighted a candle, by some means managed to set his clothes on fire. It is conjectured that a seizure was the cause of the fatality. ■ Deceased was a married man, a retired solicitor, 65 years cl age.
