A ZEALOUS SENTRY.

STICKS UP LATE ARRIVALS IN CAMP. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, March 23. Three privates of the 3rd Regiment, returning last night after visiting an orchard after lights out, tried to pass the sentry. One received a have net wound over the left eye, another a wound in the jaw, and a third in the hack of the thigh. All were taken to the hospital, and are now making satisfactory progress. The wounds are not serious. ONLY ONE MAN INJURED. Auckland, March 25. In connection with the incident at Papatoetoe camp,, it now appears that only one man was injured, not seriously- It is further stated that Ids injuries were not caused by the sentry intentionally using his bayonet. The sentry chased a number of raon, colliding with one of them. The bayonet grazed one man’s face, causing a superficial cut on the front of the left ear.
